School Subjects

how did they know what subjects she likes at school? APclark 19:36, 21 October 2005

NPOV- whoever is repeatedly copying trivia from imdb.

They got the information from interviews... by now, it's considered common knowledge what subjects she likes. 24.130.207.247 04:39, 13 March 2006 (UTC)

Didn't have a major role until the second movie...

Of course she didn't! Ginny was only 10 when the first book/film took place. She wasn't old enough to go to Hogwarts, and was only in the book when they dropped Ron, the twins, and Percy off at Platform 9¾! 24.130.207.247 04:39, 13 March 2006 (UTC)

Bonnie Wright did a voiceover for Disney's The Replacements episode London Calling. I have the whole episode taped and at the end credits her name is listed. Plus the fact I recognized her voice. It is on again tonight Wed. 24th 11pm(US central time). It will be on again on Nov.5 at 1:30(US central time) Nov.6 11:00pm(US central time).

The Irishman and the English Chick?

Is this someones idea of a joke? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.72.70.113 (talkcontribs)

Sounds like a joke to me, too. I think there is more than one few would-be filmmaker out there who would like to cast themselves and Bonnie Wright as a leading couple. I've nominated that article for speedy deletion. --Allen 02:06, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

New picture.

A new portrait picture of Bonnie in her Ginny role has been released. Can it be used here?E-flah 10:50, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

There is a problem with the picture's fair use rationale.. Can someone fix that or revert to the older picture? GavinTing 13:40, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

Spoilers

Isn't that a spoiler where it mentions her characters involvement with Harry Potter?

It would appear so RockerballAustralia 07:23, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

- I deleted it as a result.

--Surely, as the books have already been published, and the plots are, as such, readily available, then her role in future movies is pretty much set? Of course it is always speculation, as she is not confirmed for subsequent films and the movies vary from the books, but the general gist (ie relationship) isn't much of a spoiler to be added should she be confirmed?

Some people watch the films without reading the books; others may not have read the seventh book. This is definitely a spoiler aside from being speculation - two reasons to remove it. Wilymancunian 17:14, 29 July 2007 (UTC)

The Picture

Erm... that portrait of her looks nothing like how she appears in the movies. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.191.163.133 (talkcontribs)

  • Firstly, please sign your comments with ˜˜˜˜
  • Secondly, please place new threads at the end of the talk page
  • Thirdly this is the article about the actress not the character she plays in the Harry Potter movies hence it is irrelevant whether or not she looks like her portrayal of Ginny Weasley. AulaTPN 08:29, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
Personal attack removed
Well I wish I could say that I had any interest whatsoever in your offensive ramblings. I had been trying to help you by pointing out some basic points of ettiquette but I can see you really don't care. Personal attacks, vandalism and offensive edits will not be tolerated. Consider this your first and only warning, do it again and you will be blocked from Wikipedia. Have a nice day. AulaTPN 22:49, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

Friendships

"Wright is friends with fellow actress Gillian Maguire. She is also very close friends with co-stars Katie Leung who plays Cho Chang, Evanna Lynch who plays Luna Lovegood, and Afshan Azad, who plays Padma Patil in the Harry Potter movies."

I have seen evidence supporting this, but they are not independent or reported images per se. Rather they appear on fansites and such places with less rigorous need of referencing. As such should they be allowed? I have removed the added paragraph above meantime, feel free to re add it. Euanmoo 01:32, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

Absolutely right, it's fancruft and probably shouldn't be included even if reputable sources could be found. AulaTPN 08:06, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

OK i've tolerated the GCSEs thing, but now they are out can we please remove it? Euanmoo 13:05, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

I agree, I'm going to remove it now. asyndeton 13:27, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

Bonnie On TV

Bonnie did a voiceover for Disney's The Replacements episode London Calling. Myspace?

Two points:

1st is it verifiable that it is official? If it is that leads me on to point number two:

2. If it is in fact hers, should it by put on here, public profile or not?

Euanmoo 22:58, 22 July 2007 (UTC)

If it were verifiable, then I think it would make sense to put it in the links section. But not only does whoever posted the link offer no evidence it's really her, but the blog entries on the site sound like they were written by someone who is not a native English speaker. I'll remove the link. --Allen 23:13, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
If it's her personal myspace profile, then it's not "official". Myspace should be avoided in external links (see Wikipedia's external link policy) unless it's verifiably official - such as, an official myspace fan site. --SesameBallTalk 23:56, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

Is it this one? www.myspace.com/bonanza__? No point going there really...since it's private. THough I guess thats what a real Bonnie would do. No point telling friends what they already know. And no point getting herself flooded with invites. Furthermore, most people on imdb seem to think it is the real thing. What's the point of getting any celebrity myspace page anyway? *Shurgs

Will she be back?

Will she be back to play Ginny in the rest of the Harry Potter movies? Rembrant12 ~ not logged in.

Of course we all love her and i love her. Bonnie, if you're reading this, please say you are coming back. --Corkeyking (talk) 20:06, 19 February 2008 (UTC) Corkeyking

Why do we never hear of Bonnie?

We all hear of Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, but never of our fab Bonnie Wright when she plays a big role in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and beyond. Corkeyking (talk) 20:10, 19 February 2008 (UTC) Corkeyking

middle name

if your changing her middle name, cite a reliable source on the page. RockerballAustralia (talk) 20:33, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

Just to let everyone know that Bonnie Wright middle name is FRANCESCA, which was announced in the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince poster book cast interviews, the sources of this information is found here:

Bonnie Wright middle name is NOT KATHLEEN, thank you Harrypotter&twilightgirl

Confirmed as Francesca in the GRO Birth Index. jmb (talk)

Saxophone?

Is there a reason why, in the list of musical instruments, my edit from sax to saxophone has been changed back to sax? This is an encyclopedia and I don't think it's appropriate to have slang terminology when we could just as easily put the whole word. I don't want to get in an edit war, so I'll wait a couple of days for an answer, but if not I'm changing it back. Kronos o (talk) 06:49, 8 August 2009 (UTC)

Engagement?

Its time I started this section because fighting some people going back and forth is getting kind of redundant. I know there was a rumor in April about it, and I also know that she later told someone or rather it was reported that she told them, "No, that’s not true." I'm pretty sure that someone was Access Hollywood someone would have to check me on that though. Because of this change, however, I changed the article on Friday that they were dating and not engaged. I came back today and someone has up that she confirmed on the June 18th episode of the Today Show (the same day that she had denied it) that they were engaged, so someone tell me if I missed something because I can find no record of her having said out right that she was engaged. I did read, however, that she was vague about it when asked.68.44.237.34 (talk) 03:04, 22 June 2010 (UTC)

This bit, being a rumor, is dubious to include already. It needs a good source in the first place. DP76764 (Talk) 04:22, 22 June 2010 (UTC)

Pardon?

'became ambassador and fashion supporter of the Made-by brand.' What does this even mean? Lots42 (talk) 13:46, 27 August 2010 (UTC)

Reference for her engagement to Bower

The YouTube reference is perfectly valid. Please do not remove it without consensus. The YouTube video is (1) properly copyrighted (2) properly fact-checked and (3) in her own voice. It is just as valid as a newspaper interview, if not more so. You can watch it for yourself and see her speaking the words. What more do you need? Elizium23 (talk) 03:49, 16 April 2011 (UTC)

IMDb does not list Wright in the credits for this film, and I cannot find a reliable, recent source that says she is still involved with this as cast. Can anyone confirm it? Elizium23 (talk) 19:44, 1 July 2012 (UTC)

Actually, it appears that Wright's short, Sweat, has been detached from Geography I and included in a sequel project, Geography of the Hapless Heart 2 which is in pre-production and slated for release in 2013. Elizium23 (talk) 19:48, 1 July 2012 (UTC)

Official and unofficial websites

There are very good official and unofficial websites about Bonnie, here is a list of websites if anyone are interest to look at:

This was written on the 2012-09-04 by Hogwartsfanzone

That is nice, but many of these sites cannot be used as sources in the article. The official sites can be cited, albeit carefully, as primary sources, but IMDb is not considered reliable, and the unofficial sites have no editorial oversight or reputation for fact-checking, and cannot be considered reliable secondary sources. Bonnie's charity work

Should we write in Bonnie's article about her work for Oxfam and Live Below the Line charities? Also she is a ambassador for Oxfam. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.151.78.6 (talk) 14:55, 18 October 2012 (UTC)

Mother of three children in DH?

One of those children is actually the child of Tonks and Lupin, so Ginny is the mother of two children with Harry and the adoptive mother of a third. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 141.114.196.184 (talk) 18:21, 30 October 2012 (UTC)

I think the current relationship info should be edited slightly - namely, that we remove the reference to her partner's age. This is not standard wikipedia policy, and it's also vaguely sexist, and it's completely unimportant. 27.32.234.38 (talk) 02:23, 8 March 2015 (UTC)

Simon Hammerstein

Resolved

@Davey2010, Hullaballoo Wolfowitz, and Jimbo Wales: I've somewhat had a similar discussion with Hullaballoo Wolfowitz at Talk:Michael Richards#Ann Talman, in which I thought it was suitable to mention that Michael Richards had a relationship with Ann Talman. In response, Hullaballoo Wolfowitz quoted Jimbo Wales stating that Wikipedia does not "chronicle every single twist and turn of celebrity romances"; he said that on User talk:Jimbo Wales/Archive 86#BLP gossip in addition to saying "not everything in tabloids is true." Now I agree with Jimbo Wales, which is why I deleted the information concerning Wright's relationship with Simon Hammestein. Hitcher vs. Candyman (talk) 20:34, 30 May 2017 (UTC)

Sorry haven't got time to click links etc as currently on a mission to source an article - In short I believe the content is fine and as I said in the edit summary consensus at AN/ANI has been not to remove the Daily Mail - They should be replaced, If you can try & replace it with a better reliable source, Thanks, –Davey2010Talk 21:19, 30 May 2017 (UTC)
The problem is I cannot find a reliable source to replace the Daily Mail sources, Davey2010. Hitcher vs. Candyman (talk) 21:32, 30 May 2017 (UTC)
Never mind, I found a source from News.com.au. I don't know about you guys, but I think this matter is resolved. Hitcher vs. Candyman (talk) 21:41, 30 May 2017 (UTC)
