"Voice Dictation" or "Speech to Text Dictation" is not equal to "Voice Recognition"
[edit]Voice Recognition or Speech Recognition is the technology that the software uses. It is already mentioned in the intro. On the other hand dictation or speech to text typing is a feature. This feature is similar to what Dragon NaturallySpeaking provides. Here spoken words are transcribed by the software and typed as written text . The software, transcribes the words into the active window at the location of the cursor (i.e. in any software or website which has focus).
P.S. Clarification was needed because a user changed "Voice Dictation" section to "Voice Recognition" Champsin (talk) 05:10, 5 February 2024 (UTC)
- I would like to support the clarification provided. "Voice Typing" or "Speech to Text Dictation" indeed serves as a specific feature. This distinction is crucial for understanding the applications of these terms within various contexts. SmackoVector (talk) 04:27, 12 June 2024 (UTC)
- I have reimplemented many of my changes while hopefully avoiding the issue described above. –Gluonz talk contribs 17:12, 15 August 2024 (UTC)
