The symbol needs attestation

The article should cite reliable sources for the currency symbol "CRDollar sign with two vertical lines" , since the symbols of previous currencies had many variants in common use. In particular, care must be taken to document the use of capital "R" instead of lowercase "r", and whether the two-stroke dollar sign, specifically, was to be used instead of the single-stroke variant. Note that the decree that created the first cruzeiro (1942) used "Cr $" with the single-stroke variant, but in common usage the two variants were considered mere stylistic choices with no semantic value.Jorge Stolfi (talk) 13:37, 15 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
