I've done a variety of changes to sentence structure, spelling, etc. Important: you forgot to make two of the headings third level, under the Athletics category. Take a look at these changes to get a sense for future article nominations. They were all easier to fix than to list. Be careful with homonyms; you wrote one as opposed to won. Also, the IOC uses metres as opposed to meters.
