I also had trouble finding "bus number" via google search, which is what prompted me to create this entry in the first place. This could lead one to believe the term is not prominent. However, the reference I site for the alternative "truck number" has contributions from staff of organisations as prominent as Lucent Technologies (formerly Bell Labs). Perhaps this page should be renamed "truck number"? Alternative names could redirect to it. Robertgravina (talk) 12:56, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You need verifiable reliable sources for an article on Wikipedia. Even under "truck number" there does not appear to be a lot references and the reference you give is another wiki and so not considered reliable. It just seems to be another jargon phrase used by some projects but not particularly notable. noq (talk) 13:26, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps you do have a point about notability then. I can't back it up with more credible references, and searches on truck number also return mostly blog entries. It appears that the term was coined by Jim Coplen, but I can't find any verifiable sources for that.Robertgravina (talk) 18:03, 1 January 2010 (UTC) Would these work?[reply]

Maybe we could merge with the bus factor page? Damonwang (talk) 17:26, 12 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
