I have been unable to find any source to reference for the following portion of the History section:

the company received private funding from Anthem Venture Partners. Before the end of 2005, newspapers and journalists utilized Buzznet’s photo galleries. Newspapers that joined Buzznet for its photo-sharing capabilities include the Houston Chronicle for Hurricane Rita coverage, the Miami Herald for Hurricane Wilma coverage, and the Biloxi, Miss. Sun-Herald for Hurricane Katrina coverage.

I suggest if someone else is not able to verify another reference for the above wording, we should remove or rewrite it, so it does not fall under original research --Tcrguy (talk) 08:26, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Blogs removed, notability questioned

[edit]

Blogs are self-published sources and fail WP:V. They're not usable as citation. Per WP:WEB there has to be significant coverage by reliable third parties independent of the subject to establish notability.--Crossmr (talk) 05:02, 6 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Citations are needed, this is true, but lack of citation is grounds for improvement not deletion. just because someone has a personal opinion that Buzznet is not notable enough to have an article doesn't mean that it's not. It IS notable. It's at least as notable as Myspace and Facebook and other popular networking sights. I am removing the deletion tag because this article needs improvement not deletion.

I don't personally have sources, but I know that an entire internet subculture exists around Buzznet, I think that's fairly notable.

Internet culture

[edit]

If there isn't already a Wikiproject for internet culture and/or social networking sights, I propose that someone should consider starting one... I'm kind of a newb when it comes to wikiprojects and don't really know how to go about it, but figured I'd put in my suggestion. 208.53.102.132 (talk) 19:48, 18 March 2008 (UTC)amyanda2000 208.53.102.132 (talk) 19:55, 18 March 2008 (UTC)amyanda[reply]
