Too promotional
[edit]This article is feeling more and more like a promotional piece. For example, in the list of external references, all but one are from the same website, investors.com . In order to remain on Wikipedia, this article needs to include more information from third-party sources, which verify the notability of the subject. Please refer to Wikipedia:Notability, Wikipedia:Spam, and Wikipedia:Vanity guidelines. --Elonka 05:30, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
Sources
[edit]I only did this because of the lack of sources initially. I'll try to find some more third-party sources. Thanks --Mr. Business 02:40, 8 July 2006 (UTC)
- This article still badly needs third-party sources which prove that the subject is notable, per WP:CORP. If sources cannot be provided, this info should probably be merged into William O'Neill's article. --Elonka 19:24, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

?
[edit]I agree, this is a copy of IBD's own marketing copy.
One or two words?
[edit]Both the article and pages that come up on a Google search are inconsistent between "CANSLIM" and "CAN SLIM" -- which one is it? --EEMeltonIV 00:12, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
CANSLIM is ONE word.
CAN SLIM name?
[edit]William J. O'Neil consistently refers to it as CAN SLIM or Can Slim, in How to Make Money In Stocks 3rd Edition. Mr Business 15:54, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
Any objective historical data?
[edit]Does anyone know of some long-term historical performance data that someone may have accumulated by following this system? I know there's a lot of leeway in the strategy, but a couple good examples of historical returns and risk measurements (beta or standard deviation) would be a good addition to any discussion about a trading strategy.
