I've undone the redirect that made this topic un-navigable... see also Talk:Dialects of Calabria for the previous re-direct. Mariokempes 23:04, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The previous title made more sense IMHO. The current one suggests that all the languages dealt with in the article form one (Calabrian) language family.85.222.86.17 (talk) 23:48, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"Dialects" vs. Languages

[edit]

This article is about languages (Neapolitan, Sicilian, Griko, Provencal, etc.) as spoken in the region of Calabria. Granted 90% of teh article is about "calabrian dialects", but even calabrian dialects are part of two language groups: neapolitan in the north and sicilian in the central and south. Palmi dialect?

[edit]

The Minimal pair article refers to "the Italian dialect that is spoken near Palmi (Calabria, Italy)". I would have expected this dialect to be mentioned on Languages of Calabria but it isn't. Would someone who has knowledge or a reference regarding this please either add it to Languages of Calabria or, if it is already here under a specific name, update the reference on Minimal pair with that name?
