Title[edit]

This title is much too general for a specific article on Breton calvaires - a calvary can be any shrine with a crucifix, usually outdoors, but also inside. All the simple wayside shrines in Catholic countries are properly so called in English (OED 2 - see last quote in particular). I would suggest renaming, either to "Calvaire" or Breton Calvary, or something similar. Then a new article can be made for the general term, maybe bringing in Bildstock, and an article we have somewhere on East European versions - ah yes Kryždirbystė. Merger[edit]

Hi! These are two completely different articles about two completely different topics. However, it is a good idea to remove the last paragraph of Calvary (sculpture) and incorporate it into Calvary (sanctuary), since it brings some informations which are not yet included there. If you have a professional knowledge on the issue, please remove merge tags and proceed with fixing the confusion in the articles. Please also cross-reference the subjects in both pages, so that people clearly see difference in terminology and where it comes from. One article may have a more detailed information on terminology, while another simply refers to this text, i.e., you don't have to duplicate this explanation in both pages. (I know, the later advice may sound redundant, but I did see such kind of duplication, which it time have ledd to diverging texts; see also WP:CONTENTFORK).
