This article has been nominated for speedy deletion. I wish to protest, as Washington DC's pre-eminent Olympic-athlete-supporting canoe club certainly has more right to an article than, for instance, the Cardiff Canoe Club - or a three-sentence article about a train station in Japan (Ariake-tennis-no-mori Station) - or blatant advertisements (Western instruments) - sheesh.

"Sheesh" is not an assertion of notability. You've added one good source; now you need one or two more. What about that Olympic-athlete-supporting thing?- local organizations aren't normally notable, but that could be an argument for notability, if you have some sources discussing it in more detail. Don't bother searching for articles about non-notable organizations; it doesn't make your argument, although it's always helpful to tag them for Articles for deletion if they really are non-notable. -FisherQueen (Talk) 13:58, 4 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

As the speedy delete tag was removed by an editor who is not the creator of the page, the speedy delete request is void. DrKiernan 15:08, 4 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
