Carbamoyl group[edit]

What is the difference between carboxamide and carbamoyl? See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carbamic_acid.

I assume that the carboxamide is a bit more generic, in that the R group can be any atom, whereas the carbamoyl group is always only ever -C=O-NH2, but I am not qualified to really come to this conclusion on my own. Right now it is a bit confusing, nonetheless, because to me it appears to be as if both are more or less the same group, just having two different names. 2A02:8388:1641:8380:3AD5:47FF:FE18:CC7F (talk) 09:46, 6 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
