Railways on Map

[edit]

Railways are long and thin and can be very difficult to distinguish on a Satellite map. The view of Catete seems to show a balloon loop (why is there one) which is a very railway like feature. The newly rebuild railway seems be being build along side the old one, with a few deviations.

What looks to be Catete railway station is there, with various station buildings.

Balloon Loop

[edit]

Catete appears to have a balloon loop. Why?

  • turn engines.
  • terminate and turn suburban trains from Luanda? Balloon loop does this quickly.
