Another short but sweet article co-nomed by AnotherBeliever and Grand'mere Eugene, these are always a pleasure to read. It's not my place to discuss WP:NOTE but I'll make note of it just for posterity's sake. Per usual, please use a  Done template, strikethrough , or a format of your choice to indicate that an issue has been resolved. There isn't much to cover so I hope we can knock this out relatively soon. 🏵️Etrius ( Us) 03:32, 11 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Sourcing[edit]

  • For Ancestry.com, I lack a subscription. Can you give a brief description of what is being sourced, just want to make sure it isn't user generated content. I'll WP:AGF.
    •  Done: description added to citation quote parameter, + more complete title info.
  • FN 5, Ravenous Traveler, appears to be a blog
    •  Not done: "Powered by Blogger Mattie John Bamman, Writing & Editing"
      • That's fine then, I'm more so looking for clarification. 🏵️Etrius ( Us) 14:49, 11 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
    • Yes, one published by Northwest Travel Magazine. Is your concern the website, or that an interview is being used? ---Another Believer (Talk) 14:45, 11 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • FN 23, I am unfamiliar with Epicurious, is this a blog or is there some level of publishing standard.
  • The WSJ sources are missing authors
    •  Done: WSJ credits include illustrator, food stylist, and prop stylist, but no author identified.
  • All the sources are confirmed as either live or archived, no other major concerns about source reliability at this time.

Images[edit]

  • Rights seem in order
  • Images are a bit cluttered, and I see that you expanded out the Career section to compensate.

Copy-vios[edit]

  • Earwig flags one source that is just transcluding the Wikipedia page.
  • Random checks has found nothing, I'll perform more checks as we go along. No news is good news.

Prose[edit]

  • Her mother was "from the Julia Child–era school" of cooking Clarify. A little more context is necessary
    •  Done (expanded Julia Child sentence)
  • "writer Nancy Silverton." Specify that Cathy learned from Silverton, per FN 7.
    •  Done (expande sentence on recipes learned from Silverton)
  • The Early life and influences section seems arbitrarily defined. It starts covering things she did in her career. Personally, I'd combine the personal life and early life sections then move the inspirations info to Early Career but how you go about moving it is up to you.
    Yes, looks much better. 🏵️Etrius ( Us) 16:59, 12 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • She later became executive chef and... Awkward sentence
    •  Done (Wrangled clauses to separate sentences, twice revised.)
  • You can expand significantly on Nostrana and Oven and Shaker
    • I would think details about these establishments would belong on their respective Wikipedia entries, no? ---Another Believer (Talk) 14:54, 12 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
    • I can see that there were a couple of sentences added to the page, this is fine. I'm not looking for an entire dissertation but a bit of context was needed. Consider this resolved. 🏵️Etrius ( Us) 17:01, 12 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • There is also plenty that could be added to the recognition section
Consider using this article from La Cucina Italiana[1]. A few other sources do give reviews of her that could be considered for the article. I won't hound you on this point since it was largely me trying to find improvements since the page is rather short. Mentioning she's a WSJ writer would also be ideal. I have no qualms with keeping this point optional but hopefully this provided info for an improvement nonetheless. 🏵️Etrius ( Us) 19:45, 12 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You know the drill, 7 days on hold (Until 04/17). Ping me with any concerns/questions, it's always a pleasure to read both your works. 🏵️Etrius ( Us) 03:32, 11 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
