Illogical Page Structure and Redirect

[edit]

It makes no sense to have a page for the UK's "First" Civil Service Commissioner and not have a proper page for the UK Civil Service Commission (just a redirect page). Someone should reinstate a proper UK Civil Service Commission page and include the "First Commissioner" information within that. I will do that in a few days if nobody objects.

History

[edit]

It would be useful to have some history of the Commission. In particular, how it lost the recruitment function and perhaps certain other functions. Seadowns (talk) 22:42, 22 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

It hasn't lost the recruitment function. From its own page, "Civil Service Commissioners ... chair open recruitment competitions for the most senior posts in the Civil Service. The Commission has a compliance and capability monitoring programme to provide assurance that selection for appointment to the Civil Service at other levels meets the statutory requirement." https://civilservicecommission.independent.gov.uk/recruitment/ 185.13.50.214 (talk) 09:05, 30 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
