Origins of the clan - lack of sources
[edit]Some time ago I did write the origins of this clan sourced from the book by Libby Urquhart but it has since been replaced with two paragraphs that are virtually unsourced. The few citations that are given appear to be unreliable. I will therefore shortly be re-writing it with full inline citations.QuintusPetillius (talk) 10:40, 13 September 2013 (UTC)
Druimeineach, Druimein, Druimeanach = Drummond (the surname)
[edit]See this source[1]. It's common for non-Gaelic speaking authors to get these details wrong. I am going to put in "Na Druimeanaich" for the clan name for now since that is a common way of forming it in Gaelic, and can be used for most of the clans. I have no evidence that "Clann Druimeanaich" was ever in common use. Catrìona (talk) 21:26, 27 December 2017 (UTC)
