copy protection
[edit]The article is somewhat wrong, CloneCD doesn't remove copy protection, it simply copies the cd exactly as is, copy protection included, so you can use the copy as if it was the original cd. I don't know how to rephrase the sentence involved, but someone should do it -ReiVaX 12:56, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Clonecd logo.png
[edit]Image:Clonecd logo.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 18:14, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
Switzerland and the EU copyright laws
[edit]Since this was a Swiss site, they were forced to take it off the market due to recent European Copyright Laws.
So, tell me again what Switzerland has to do with the European Union. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.227.35.89 (talk) 19:42, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
1:1 ratio comment
[edit]"1:1 copies of music and data CDs and DVDs, regardless of any Digital Rights Management (DRM) restrictions"
To some that may seem confusing. You wouldn't want a 1:1 copy of a DRM'ed release.....sure, I can understand where the article is getting at, but once the DRM is removed, surely it is no longer "1:1" (exact copy)....? :) Sorry, I'm just nit-picking lol --67.34.188.252 (talk) 04:27, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
- It doesn't remove the DRM.69.182.52.246 (talk) 14:49, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
