not notable

[edit]

To editor Liao: Please read WP:N. Subjects have to be notable; articles must make an assertion of notability. We don't just keep articles because the subject exists or because someone thinks it's important. Please add sources and assert notability or I'm sending this to deletion. I was about to revert this to the original redirect, although the subject is borderline notable, or at least somewhat fashionable. As it stands, the article is effectively uncited, since a couple of clickbait external links don't really qualify. Sarcastic comments like "what is your evidence that it isn't notable" are just asking for the undo button to be clicked. As there is the start of a discussion here, I'll wait 24 hours and see if there is a genuine attempt to demonstrate WP:NOTABILITY and provide WP:RELIABLE citations, then trash it. To editor Chris troutman: it is notable since cloud computing is the future to dramatically improve software development productivity. Online-based software development is the future. Many tech companies incuding Amazon (bought Cloud9) are developing cloud IDEs so it is notable. Google scholar returns 87K research articles if you search "Cloud IDE". What more evidence do you need? I am a computer scientist for 10+ years and I offer my opinion as a subject expert. What is your qualification to judge this article is not notable?
