I will add some optimization techniques if there is sufficient interest in knowing how to use Codeanalyst. Kindly drop a note on what you would like to see in this article. Ravindrag82 (talk) 04:27, 5 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I would be interested but it would not belong in Wikipedia, see Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not#Wikipedia is not a manual, guidebook, or textbook. You can do that sort of thing on Wikihowto. --triwbe (talk) 05:06, 5 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I am removing the self-published tag. If that violates protocol then someone can add it back. I doubt that it was self published, but if it was, it was by AMD, a huge semiconductor company, not some individual. The same claim could be made about almost any link to any documentation of any commercial software.216.105.130.254 (talk) 19:58, 23 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Profiling works well on Intel processors. The simulation might only be for AMD ones. --80.81.183.212 (talk) 15:22, 10 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Code Analyst pipeline simulation ends with the K8 (Athlon 64).

[edit]

According to the CodeAnalyst documentation from AMD, confirmed by personal correspondence from an AMD representative to myself, CodeAnalyst does not support, and will not ever support, the model K10 and following processors (Barcelona, Phenom, etc.). Personally, I found the pipeline simulation a very useful optimizing tool, and I am sorry that I cannot use it for the later generation processors. What is optimal on the K8 is not always optimal on the K10. Michael Rolle (talk) 06:51, 10 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

GCC debug symbols on Windows Platforms

[edit]

It may be worth mentioning that the program actually do not support GCC debugging symbols on Windows platforms. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.6.63.150 (talk) 20:54, 2 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
