Etymology
[edit]The scientific name probably means glue carrier - possibly to do with the substance used to stick together the larval cases. I am unable to find a reference for this but wondered if anyone else can. Understanding scientific names makes them much more memorable so I think a reference would be beneficial. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 5.81.174.36 (talk) 11:44, 21 February 2014 (UTC)
Coleophora#Synonyms table
[edit]In the table, for the first four rows the Coleophora name is spelled out in full, as there was overlap with the infobox if the viewport had a less than 1024x768 resolution with software defaults (Windows, SeaMonkey). Note that overlap may happen again if the gallery is moved below the table or new textual information is not added in the lede. -Mardus (talk) 00:12, 6 November 2011 (UTC)

initially
[edit]- As with most members of the family, the larvae initially feed on the seeds, flowers or leaves of the host plant, but when larger, they feed externally
I don't understand this really, i would guess, that this is meant:
- As with most members of the family, the larvae initially feed internally on the seeds, flowers or leaves of the host plant, but when larger, they feed externally
