Bloomberg Article - Dispute in facts between Ken and the DAO

[edit]

Hi all,

Just opening a talk section to allow people to chime in on the matter of a claim that Ken Griffin had contacted the group beforehand/during the auction.

While I can give personal first hand evidence that no one was aware, it still requires more evidence to bolster that fact. Please feel free to add anything needed article wise or from other primary sources.

I've removed the claim. If Griffin's interactions with the DAO are noteworthy, a reliable, secondary source will cover it beyond a quote from Griffin. czar 06:55, 10 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ethereum fees made refunds essentially a sham

[edit]

This article mentions ethereum fees but not the *impact* of them: the average donor would be SOL in getting a refund because the majority of that refund would be eaten by ethereum's insanely high gas fees. This is worth mentioning because it adversely impacted all the investors and added injury to insult (on top of the fact the project failed its stated goal.)

This project was a failure in multiple respects, and yet the article does not reflect this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chowderstorm (talkcontribs) 12:28, 5 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the suggestion, I've added a couple of sentences. Don't be afraid to be WP:BOLD and add this kind of thing yourself, if reliable sources are freely available. --Lord Belbury (talk) 12:37, 5 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you Lord Belbury. I need to learn how to do citations. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chowderstorm (talkcontribs) 12:47, 5 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
