Shipping container

[edit]

The section on shipping container includes several types, including intermodal container. ASTM defines shipping container as: a container that is sufficiently strong to be used in commerce for packing. storing, and shipping of commodities. Shipping container needs to redirect here. WP:COMMONNAME and WP:COMMON provide fairly good guidance. As a very high quality reference, the BBC have been following a shipping container around the world for their BBC Box project[1]. This uses the terms container and shipping container; but not intermodal container. However, if people are able to find references that suggest otherwise, then discussion would be welcomed at Talk:Intermodal container#Shipping container redirectSladen (talk) 17:39, 25 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Twenty-foot equivalent unit

[edit]

Added Twenty-foot equivalent unit under intermodal container. Although I'm not sure I placed a decent description.  Guy M | Talk  19:09, 8 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
