Page name[edit]

The Florida Department of Transportation county map for Gilchrist County indicates that this road is actually "County Road 344A" NOT "County Road 334A". Morriswa (Charlotte Allison) (talk) 11:26, 24 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The FDOT map is wrong, and the evidence proves it's 334A. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 12:56, 24 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
If the sign is correct and the FDOT map is incorrect, then it might make sense to keep the redirect. It could be made into a soft redirect saying the 344A is an incorrect name for 334A. Some people might argue that relying on the sign is original research. If there is evidence of the name on the Gilchrist County website, that would be worth mentioning. I've seen other maps of Gilchrist County indicating that it's 334A, and the northern terminus at CR 334 instead of CR 344 would clearly more credibility to 334A. If you want other examples where FDOT has been wrong, they've published editions of maps of Hernando County with truncated versions of Hernando County Road 493 along Sunshine Grove Road, when in reality that designation is for the entire road. There have also been official (including FDOT) and unofficial maps indicating that Ayer's Road and Hayman Road are still Hernando CR 420, when they've actually been HCR 576 for as long as I can remember. Those are the only two examples I can think of right now, but others have existed. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 13:32, 27 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
