This article's Good Article Nomination was failed because this article is very deficient in multiple areas. In particular:
The Lead does not adequately summarize the article.
The History section is virtually non-existent. The section has two sentences and does not even address the subject of the article.
It is imperative that these sections be developed before this article can have a positive reception in the Good Article Nomination process. This article is only about half developed; the Route description and Major intersections sections are actually quite good. From looking at the article history, the nominator did very little work on the article before nominating it. While it is not forbidden to nominate articles worked on by other editors, it is usually not a good idea because the editors who do the most substantive work on the article are in the best position to figure out whether the article is complete enough to pass the Good Article Review process. It is considered good etiquette to contact the person or persons who did the most substantive work on the article for approval before you nominate the article in a review process. Going forward, please do not nominate articles unless you have done a substantial amount of work on them and they follow the Good Article criteria. VC 00:16, 26 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
