Notability
Dave Smith has not only received coverage on major news outlets, but also repeatedly appeared on primetime television networks like CNN and Fox News, including very recently. Smith is one of the major figures with the Libertarian Party, as shown by the extended coverage of him from outlets that report on the Party. Additonally, looking at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Notability_(people)#Entertainers, Smith definitely fits some criteria there as well.
- "Has had significant roles in multiple notable films, television shows, stage performances, or other productions." Frequently appearing on major news networks is an example of this.
- "Has a large fan base or a significant "cult" following." Smith has a reputation for having one of the largest Libertarian podcasts out there. As evidenced by his social media accounts, he objectively has a large following, particularly for a libertarian.
