Where was it ever said that Whiskeyjack was the Mason?TheLegend84 (talk) 20:30, 25 March 2008 (UTC) It's strongly hinted at-Oxinabox (talk)[reply]

Ascendancy[edit]

to hold a position in a house, or as unaligned, you don't need to be ascended do you? (sorry talking in second person). But it seems like gaining a position is a path to ascendancy (like a tanno spirit walkes song and some other methods - such as great deads?). Paran started to ascend when he became master of the deck (i doubt that was caused souly by the blood of hounds, quickben didn't think so). Aspalar (are result of being the Virgin of death?) is nearly ascended.

Not all ascendants are gods (some are just 'normal' people like caladan brood), but all (Modern?) gods are ascendants (except maybe elder gods and the crippled god, did they ever ascend? or did they start out that way?). not all ascendants are in the Deck, nor are all gods (think about it one doesn't folow from the other).

We need to cover this stuff in the article.-Oxinabox (talk) 03:00, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Elder Gods have apparently always been gods. Its hinted at in the books that they existed before the creation of the world. The Crippled God is an alien God, he may very well have been an Ascendant originally. The only Gods and Ascendants within the Deck are the ones who are aspected to a certain House ie Shadow and whatnot. -Lisheo (talk) 14:53 17 September 2008 —Preceding undated comment was added at 13:57, 17 September 2008 (UTC).[reply]
