A problem with dates

The article says that the vocalist singing on Deputy of Love is Fonda Rae. However, Deputy of love was released in 1979, and Fonda Rae started being active in the music industry in 1982 according to her wikipedia page. So, where is the error? Was Fonda Rae active before 1982? or was Deputy of Love released after 1982?
