gender bias[edit]

this article is extremely gender biased

You are correct in that this article assumes the rapist is a male -- it is only performed when sperm cells have been identified microscopically or if the case history indicates a male perpetrator. This technique would not even be considered for a female rapist, as she does not produce sperm cells. I don't believe that there is a statement in the article saying that all rapists are males.
