Wrong word, worse than just misspelling

It seems certain that this is a - possibly frequent - English misunderstanding of the Greek term Diadochi, based on diadochos, 'successor', not on Latin dio, derived from divus, 'divine'. How can this be made clear? If it is indeed frequent, it deserves the redirect (I believe that's Wiki policy), but we shouldn't let the user believe that it's just a correct alternative spelling. Hello-- We typically don't distinguish between correct alternative spellings and common alternative spellings. Lots of books use Diodochi as their spelling for Diadochi, like this New York Times book. Redirects from alternate spellings help readers find the correct article if they come across Diodochi in their reading. You can always add an etymological note for a Diadochi entry at Wiktionary.
