Should be a defn of domino computer in the lede.

The article has been rewritten since then by more editors. Because the above mentioned problem seems to be solved, and no complaints came since then, now I remove the cleanup tag. Physis 14:56, 1 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

no one mentions that the gates are one time use nor do they give examples (pictures or diagrams) of logic gates/computers made of dominoes. i'd like to see what people have built from this concept. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.202.58.7 (talk) 18:54, 21 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The first external link, Domino computer presents some detailed figures of the switches, and it shows also a more complex example: a single-bit adder. The page implements the NOT game by introducing the notion of "sync signal", a row of dominoes "constantly falling down", that's why I did not describe the domino computer as a one-time-use thing. I'm not really a computer geek as much as a kinetic artist, but I did some experiments with building basic logic gates with dominoes and my 'herringbone' technique. If this page is of use to anybody working on the Domino computer article, feel free to use it: http://www.lunatim.com/kinart/computing.htm —Preceding unsigned comment added by 4.159.17.167 (talk) 03:37, 7 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure that the XOR diagram is not over-engineered. I do not see why the three dominoes between the two loops where they turn towards the output are necessary as the exclusiveness is taken car of at the bottom as if both are on, ie tipped, they will meet in the middle of the bottom section and stop, thus giving an off at the output. If only one input is on this will pass along the bottom and continue round the opposite loop ending up at the output. Those three linking the two loops at the top are superfluous. MrTyke I think the suggestion that a domino NOT gate can be created as A XOR 1 is not correct. With domino logic it is not possible to 'strap high' one of your inputs. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.221.120.78 (talk) 15:33, 8 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
