I think that this is a good idea and the mesolimbic pathway should route all traffic to dopamine pathways. Agreed.

Disagree. They deserve separate articles. 128.125.28.127 (talk) 01:25, 10 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Disagree: as more research is conducted on separate pathways it will be harder to contain all that growing information in one article. CopperKettle (talk) 16:02, 28 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Disagree. There is also a serotonergic mesolimbic pathway, and thus this article should stay separate. Fuzzform (talk) 19:35, 5 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Disagree also for the reasons stated above. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.173.244.218 (talk) 07:22, 22 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think with the present state of knowledge they should be kept separate as mesolimbic pathway is more an anatomical concept wheras 'dopaminergic pathway' is more functional/biochemical.Doctorpete (talk) 11:56, 9 April 2009 (UT

I think that the four dopamine pathways are better understood as dlPFC, mesolimbic dmPFC, temporal viPFC & orbitomedial vmPFC. Tuberoinfundibular should link to Orbitomedial prefrontal dopamine pathway. Nigrostriatal should link to Dorsolateral prefrontal pathway. This is important in understanding motivational inputs and cognitive regulatory function. doctor james220.235.10.250 (talk) 00:10, 27 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that they should be kept separate. If someone wants to look up "mesolimbic pathway" e.g. he/she should be able to look it up directly without having to go through "dopaminergic pathways." Also, as above, one is an anatomical approach whereas the other is physiological. 71.109.153.96 (talk) 17:14, 26 March 2010 (UTC) 26 March '10 P.K. M.D.[reply]
