'Stefanescu' should really be 'Ștefănescu'[edit]
Dekimasu, there's no such name as 'Stefanescu' in Romanian - there's only the very common 'Ștefănescu'.
The ONLY reason that many people still write 'Stefanescu' instead of 'Ștefănescu' is convenience: as you can easily find on the net (for ex here), Romanian diacritics were only recently standardized and incorporated in common software/hardware.
Do a search for 'Stefanescu' on Romanian Wikipedia and see that 'Stefanescu' ALWAYS redirects to 'Ștefănescu'. Doruuu (talk) 18:43, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
