commas in name

[edit]

Nice article! I think the article should perhaps be moved to "Dr. Fred Stone, Sr., Hospital", leaving a redirect behind from "Dr. Fred Stone, Sr. Hospital". The NRIS database listing gives what shows in the NRHP nomination "Stone, Dr. Fred, Sr., Hospital". In practice WikiProject NRHPers have unwrapped comma-convoluted names and otherwise made some corrections fixing typos or other problems in NRIS-supplied names, but here the NRIS-supplied name looks right to me, besides the need to move the last name into place. I think i recall from previous discussion it being said that grammar rulebooks say that either "Joe Smith Jr. House" or "Joe Smith, Jr., House" is okay, while "Joe Smith, Jr. House" is not. I happen to prefer the two-comma version as being more traditional i think. Just for you to consider. Again, nice work. --doncram (talk) 00:51, 20 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I moved it. I don't particularly like either name, with the "Dr." and "Sr." in them, and I was tempted to go with "Stone Maternity Hospital," which is simpler, and probably what people back then called it. Bms4880 (talk) 01:59, 21 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
