Kid Boo
[edit]My team: "*Kid Boo*", Freezer 1.form, Super 17, SS4 Gogeta and Cell Perfect form (not Perfect!!!). I fought vs my cousin and he killed all my characters with SS4 Son-Goku without Kid Boo and 15 min later I killed all his characters with Kid Boo.I think Kid Boo is the best char because with his sprint attack can you get a high combo with much damage and with his special attack win you when the enemy has max. 40000-50000 health (when Kid Boo has very good skills: 5x Titel(Tenkaichi) or Nr. 18 Kiss, 1x Majin seal and 1x Real power.

No doubt about it, that's real. --Naruto134 00:00, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
Cool, it´s was obvios that Blue will be confirmed, but... Arale? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.172.89.47 (talk) 03:54, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
This COULD be a fake. It's nothing official and certainly nothing to add to the list based off of. Thanos6 05:23, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
I understand, the flowers and Balls at the side don´t inspire trust... and i time ago i see a image of Saiya Oozaru in a game that was practically perfect. But in wikipedia Japan they add Arale and Blue...
- All that means is that some Japanese fans saw the scan too. Thanos6 06:03, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
- Everyone, try thinking out of the box (in this case, the frame of the picture) for a moment. Now think: Where could this picture have come from if it were real? I highly doubt Spike officials would release such an image before the characters' actual confirmation. It doesn't seem to be from a scan, seeing you can clearly see the TV it was allegedly shot on whereas all other gameplay shots have shown simply the screen. Where else could it have come from then? I can't find any other explaination than the picture is fake and the person who made it is simply trying to mess with our heads. I wouldn't be surprised if this was the case; the guy is probably still getting a few laughs out of this whole thing.
- Either way, we'll found out in a few hour's time who is confirmed and who isn't, with the release of this month's V-Jump and all. // DecaimientoPoético 10:18, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
- exactally, unless It's from a relible source like Daizenshuu EX or the official game site, it should be considered a fake unless proven by a reliable source. DBZROCKSIts over 9000!!! 12:26, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
- Blue's fighting stance looks similar to piccolos and arale is like Chiaotzu.
- We have confirmation now. Blue and Arale ARE in according both to the magazine and Ciel over at Ataricommunity. Thanos6 13:31, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
Ciel himself has confirmed them as real (scroll down the page): http://www.ataricommunity.com/forums/showthread.php?t=611223&page=11 Tetra Vega 14:20, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
- I got more proof they're in the game here. --Naruto134 00:00, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, that scan was posted in the topic too. The gameplay pic was hella fake though. Tetra Vega 14:25, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

No what-if?
[edit]I just noticed that on my computer that what-if fusions are no longer on the site? So is this to be true? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.218.162.183 (talk) 20:56, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
- I'm not exactly sure what you're talking about. Do you mean on Wikipedia? If so, the article does mention never-before-seen characters, though not specifically fusions. // DecaimientoPoético 21:19, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
Early and Mid versions of Goku and Piccolo
[edit]It's confirmed that they're not new. Look at the list here. That's all the new characters confirmed so far and the Early and Mid versions of Goku and Piccolo aren't on that list meaning they're not new. So there's 17 characters confirmed and three that aren't revealed yet. --Naruto134 00:00, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
They are indeed new because Goku (End) and Piccolo (End) were the only versions of the character used in the games. Enough said. Ryu-chan (Talk | Contributions) 23:24, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
- We haven't played the game yet, would we put down Goku early and Mid down as old characters if they were completely differen't from Goku end? Goku early may be completely differn't from the Base Goku from the last game. On a picture list, Why would they include two pictures of Goku and Piccolo? It would be confusing. They should be left as is. DBZROCKSIts over 9000!!! 23:29, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
- Ryu Ematsu, did you even look at the list? Those are the new announced characters and the Early and Mid versions of Goku and Piccolo aren't on the list. If they're not on the list that means they don't count as new characters. End of discussion. --Naruto134 00:00, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
False, they have their own pages in the official DBZ Sparking Meteor page, they have different outfits than Goku and Piccolo from other games and they have different techniques. Vegeta have 5 different "forms" and they are different characters, now Goku and Piccolo have their new "forms", don´t try to say they are not new characters only for "we have 3 new characters to be confirmed". They are new characters.
- So what if they have their own pages at the official site? That doesn't mean they're new. Are you people even looking at the link I put? And also, the Tenkaichi 2 page doesn't have Vegeta (Scouter) and Vegeta (second form) as new characters. Yeah, use your heads. Next time, post your comment. --Naruto134 00:00, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
- Naruto134, the reason Scouter Vegeta and Second form Vegeta arn't in the new character section in the Tenkaichi 2 article is because they're not new. Scouter Vegeta was in Tenkaichi; easy enough to understand. Second form Vegeta is a bit more difficult to explain, so bare with me. In Tenkaichi, we had one Vegeta for all his forms. In Tenkaichi 2, SS2 (as well as Majin and SS4) Vegeta was simply made a separate character. Since he was a returning character but had new forms (base and SS), we added him to the returning character section and bolded the first two forms to let people know they're new.
- As for the scan that was released, I don't believe Early/Mid Goku and Early Piccolo are considered to be new. Whether or not a headshot would cause confusion doesn't really matter; each picture has a name (in kanji, I believe) next to it. If they were new, it wouldn't be very had to add their picture to the list and call them "Goku (Early)", "Goku (Mid)", and "Piccolo (Early)". // DecaimientoPoético 10:35, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
Forms count?
[edit]Users at the Tenkaichi 3 GameSpot forum assume that forms count as characters. Isn't there a video where they say that forms don't count? --Naruto134 00:00, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
Since Budokai Tenkaichi 1... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.172.88.45 (talk) 04:48, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, since BT 1 that the forms count as a character, only see (again) the METEOR page and you´ll see King Vegeta and in other section King Vegeta Ozaru... it´s no so hard, try it... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.172.88.45 (talk) 06:39, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
- The forms count towards the 161 total, but I don't think they count towards the new character total. I remember it being stated by Donny Clay, but not where it was stated. If I can find the link, I'll post it back here. // DecaimientoPoético 10:37, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

Character Select Screen
[edit]Should we leave the list in Alphabetical order or in the order that they will appear in the game?

Early Goku and Piccolo count but transformation doesn't???
[edit]Im SUPER!!! Confused on the V-jump scan it showed boxes of every new character including General Blue, and arale it showed transformations seperate but Ciel and atari and the new videos says we are going to have over 30 new characters and new faces but why does everybody says that General Blue And Arale Are the final characters!! if the japan version comes out in a few weeks does that mean that America and PAL Version are going to have more characters!! and he said the new characters does not include transformations it's only the basic characters!! Transformations Doesn't Count!!! someone help me out here!!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.218.162.183 (talk) 10:58, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
- It's not hard to believe they may be hiding characters. Tenkaichi 2 was said to have only 120 characters, but th final version got 129 (135 for the Wii in Japan and Europe). As for the Early/Mid Goku and Early Piccolo thing, they don't count as new characters. Also, I suggest you stop yelling; people will mistake you as being uncivil. // DecaimientoPoético 19:11, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

Piccolo Mid Possibly Confirmed?
[edit]Hey I was on the wiire.com site and I say all these cool new pics and I saw a pic of Piccolo fighting Frieza in his 2nd form Here. I am not sure whether this is Piccolo Mid or Piccolo Early or End fighting Frieza but I just letting you guys know about this. I am not going to put this as it might be deleated but it could be possible evidence that Piccolo Mid has been confirmed and that there are even more characters out there left to be revealed. Let's just cross our fingers. Johnny542 21:22, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
I was just thinking about that which piccolo is it!! scorpion293 22 September 2007 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.3.163.109 (talk)
I found a video of Piccolo Mid! [[1]] When watching this vid at 01:02, you can clearly see Piccolo Mid fighting Frieza Second Form. I seen the move sets of both Piccolo Early and Piccolo End and they don't match the fighting technique of this Piccolo and besides who ever was playing him used the characters that they fought in a decise battle (Example look at how the characters fought each other like Goku Mid vs Recoome and then Goku Mid SS vs Freiza Full Power) This may be a fanbased video but it proves that there is definatly a Piccolo Mid in this game. Oh fuck, I put in the wrong malformed address. Well just go to youtube and type in Dragon Ball Z Tenkaichi 3 Story Mode Tralier exactly as it is said here and you know what I mean. Johnny542 18:59, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
- I assume you were refering to this? At this point, it's merely speculation to say Mid Piccolo is a playable character since no official source has revealed such a character yet. Also, since no specific names were mentioned in the video (simply "Goku" rather than saying "Goku (Early)", etc), we can't go on assumptions. // DecaimientoPoético 19:30, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
More?
[edit]Where are the links to where they say there's 10 more characters? I remember seeing them, but I don't remember where. --Naruto134 00:00, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
- It was stated by Ryo Mito at the Tokyo Game Show (about 1:36 into the video), though using YouTube videos as references is generally not allowed. We might be able to make an exception here, but I'm not sure. // DecaimientoPoético 22:17, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
here's there deal i just saw a trailer on youtube and kid chi chi and spike the devil man a fighting and this guy in the barckground is talking i swear at one stage he says there are going to be 30 to 40 new characters and i did a count and we only have 27 new characters including the transformations??? so whats the go there are there anymore new chracters to be brought into the game or what? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.54.133.141 (talk) 23:28, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
- Transformations don't count as new characters. And if you read the post directly above you, you'll notice "this guy in the background" is Yasu (Ryo Mito's translater) and he said there will be "about 30 new characters." So yes, more new characters are expected to be making an appearance in the game. // DecaimientoPoético 02:09, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
- Agreed, although we cant be prefectly sure this wasnt simply a mistake by the translator. Atomic Religione 02:43, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
The game's already gone gold by now, they couldn't add anything if they wanted to. The characters would already be in the game, just not revealed in scans/demos. I can understand why they'd wanna keep hush hush, after Whiteguy spoiled the entire BT2 roster before it came out. IIRC, someone mentioned TGS was cracking down on people recording stuff this year too.Tetra Vega 11:20, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
Actually they just going to add more to the roster because in BT2, they said 120 but it was revealed to be 134. Besides there are probably going to be more updates of new characters in scans and stuff. Johnny542 12:42, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

French Wikipedia
[edit]Hey guys, I saw some characters and stages that haven't been announced yet on the french wiki. Here's the link: [2]
Either this stuff has been announced in France or some people made this stuff up. We should do some investigating to see if this is true. --Naruto134 00:00, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
- It was vandalism, and it's been removed. // DecaimientoPoético 21:59, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
The stages are still there. Maybe those new stages are confirmed in France. --Naruto134 00:00, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
- Never mind. It's been removed. --Naruto134 00:00, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
Stop changing it to 170 and 30
[edit]There's no sources for 170 and 30, yet all of the recent trailers say 161. Anyone who says otherwise is just on false hope. Superior1 21:04, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
- Then what's this...? We could say (after the number of new characters), "At the 2007 Tokyo Game Show, however, Yasu (Ryo Mito's translator) stated there will be about 30 new characters," or something close to that affect. This also applies to the number of stages. The "about 30" could be including transformations, or it could mean we're getting 170 characters; we're not exactly sure yet (though information on these supposed what-if fusions would support this). However, there's nothing wrong with simply stating what an actual employee of Spike said himself. // DecaimientoPoético 21:16, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
- Official trailer > possible mistake. Superior1 21:20, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
- Key word being "possible." Feel free to rephrase my edit if you wish so that it sounds more likely it was a simple slip of the tongue than anything official. // DecaimientoPoético 21:23, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
- Official trailer > possible mistake. Superior1 21:20, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
Stage list
[edit]Why don't the Tenkaichi games have a stage list? The Budokai games have stage lists and so do the french and netherland pages, why not this page along with the other Tenkaichi games. --Naruto134 00:00, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
- It's cruft, really. To be honest with you, character lists themselves are rather unnotable (though many would disagree with that statement), but we keep them anyway. The reason I say this is because our main focus shouldn't be the characters we can play as and the stages we can fight in, but rather:
- What the character roster and characters themselves have to offer. This includes: Mentioning 'cross-overs,' and describing different character traits and abilities, such as how some characters can slowly heal themselves over time while others cannot and how most characters can fly while a small percentage slowly descend back to the ground.
- Information on sales and reception (such a thing for an unreleased game is nearly impossible to add to the article, so this obviously refers to after the game has been released).
- Gameplay, controls, graphics, and other changes made from previous installments.
- Things like this, really. A more exprienced editor would be able to think of some more important topics to add to the article, but this gives a general idea about what we should be focusing on at the moment. // DecaimientoPoético 01:14, 29 September 2007 (UTC)
- I still think notability/"Cruft" is the single stupidest policy this site has. That said, Naruto134, don't even bother putting one up. They'll just rip it right back down. Thank God for Wikinfo. Thanos6 01:37, 29 September 2007 (UTC)
Yes dont bother putting one up as it is against the rules of Wikipedia. Thanos, this isnt a soapbox, please leave your opinions out of the talk page, less we start an arguement. Back to editing ......Atomic Religione 02:37, 29 September 2007 (UTC)
Character List
[edit]- Hi i'm new to Wikipedia, so feel free to point out if I make any mistakes. I was reading through the article and noticed that Returning Characters were in alphabetical order. would'nt it make sense to put the New Characters in alphabetical order too? --**BM** 22:39, 3 October 2007 (UTC)
Name changes
[edit]For comprehensiveness, why not also put the original japanese of "Fasha" that is to say Selipa? The name "Fasha" is only used in the american version of DBZ, it is therefore unknown to people from other countries. The same goes with Paikuhan that you call "Pikkon". I had to do some research to know who they were so just mentioning their real name within brackets would be nice.
- This is the English Wikipedia, there are Spanish,German,French, Japanese (and more) Wikipdias, so if you are more proficient or familliar with one language then you should most likely go to that certain Wikipedia. In the English Wikipedia we use the English names. Atomic Religione 03:53, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
- As an added note, we do include links in the article which you may click on and follow if you are unfamiliar with a name or term. There's really not a lot of 'research' you need to do to figure out who someone is. // DecaimientoPoético 18:25, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

I was going to save the website to my favorites but my computer froze!!!! If i find it i'll give you the link but now im sure more new characters are going to be revealed and i didn't finish reading the article but he also mentioned that What-If fusions were a rumor its not true!!!! (Sorry guys)!!!!!
