Accuracy

[edit]

The parody goes a bit farther than just partially using German words that sound similar to the English lyrics. This explanation suggests the use of incoherent lyrics, similar to the remotely german-sounding dialogue in Charlie Chaplin's "The Great Dictator". When in fact, the german songtitle is a Mondegreen using a phonetic yet rational phrase a german person, with zero command of the English language, might come up with, while the lyrics make heavy use of Denglish, constructing logical sentences using both english and german words. The accompanying music video, while being a warped and chaotic reenactment, remains true to the "courtship scene" from Grease showing John Travolta trailing behind Olivia Newton-John as they're flirting with each other. 17:45, 9 July 2022 (UTC) 2003:CA:3F1E:3B3C:6478:5DEE:5FEE:FF2A (talk) 17:45, 9 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
