Burial place of William Dyer[edit]

What is the source of the statement that William Dyer is buried on this island, or that a family cemetery even exists on this island? I am currently doing research on Mary Dyer, and the best evidence suggests that following her 1660 hanging in Boston, that she was buried on the Dyer family farm that is now located where the Navy base is in Middletown. Since the Dyers are known to have a cemetery on their farm (it's mentioned in either a deed or probate record), I seriously doubt they had another cemetery on this island.Sarnold17 (talk) 21:01, 11 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
