Cetanzahl

[edit]

Can anybody add a translation or definition of Cetanzahl ??.--Mac 10:05, 2 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

If it's German, then Centan probably refers to cetane, and zahl is from zaehlen, to count. Isopropyl 18:08, 7 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Cetanzahl is equal to Cetane Number (e.g. acc. ASTM D613) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.189.253.161 (talk) 10:50, 23 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Feedstock Oil Specification

[edit]

Does anybody know the specification for the Feedstock Oil. Was it Crude or Refined? What is the full spec? - John McCarthy

There is no reference within EN 14214 to the feedstock oil spec. I think this is as to not constrict manufacturers from using any available triglycerides to convert to FAME - at which point technology/economics dictate which is viable. Really EN 14214 only focuses on the actual FAME B100 product, although some of the tests described, Rancimat, Iodine Value, Acid Value and so on are also used in raw oil feed analysis too. 86.148.0.110 15:47, 10 July 2007 (UTC)Mark C R UK[reply]

Disambiguation for ash

[edit]

Can we get a disambiguation for sulfated ash? Would it be Ash (analytical chemistry)? Thanks! --Knulclunk 05:41, 26 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
