Essay-like tone

[edit]

The article is written like an essay, rather than an encyclopaedia article. "Those of us trained in economics pay attention to the role of incentives in all areas of life." is a particularly choice quote. 46.7.236.155 (talk) 10:35, 19 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. Except for the introduction, the article should be deleted (WP:POV and bad sources).--Olag (talk) 13:20, 16 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I also agree. Can we get this page deleted? Below are some examples of irrelevant parts.

" When one looks at the indicators of corruption and respect for rule of law, the United States and Western Europe, despite their problems, score much better than the rest of the world". How is this relevant? In the Competition from BRICS section there is talk again about the rule of law in these countries. How is this relevant? In the Trade as a Tool for Growth section: "Enhancing economic development in Europe and the United States, where civil societies have not given up their efforts to live under equality before the law, is essential" Again not relevant.
