[edit]When I moved to Scotland last year, the Scottish poppy was different to the English one, having four petals instead of two, and an integral pin - in my opinion, a much better design. This year, I've only seen the English-style poppy. Was the other type a one-off or was it a tradition that's just been abandoned? -88.110.219.179 11:51, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
During a recent house-tidy we discovered a Haig Fund Poppy with five petals and two narrow-strips of carboard as the stem. The poppy is made out of cloth and the centre piece is small disc with 'Haig'S Fund' printed on it. Any ideas as to its date? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.16.190.166 (talk) 08:54, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
