The result of the move request was: page moved. My question is not a reason to delay this move without any other objections. Vegaswikian (talk) 02:25, 16 March 2010 (UTC)
Rahway State Prison → East Jersey State Prison — Relisted. Ucucha 02:33, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
Technically and legally speaking this facility has been called East Jersey State Prison for quite sometime (I believe over 20 years) so any references and articles should be done under the proper legal name and not the former name. Therefore, I propose that this article be moved to East Jersey State Prison and Rahway State Prison be #REDIRECT Dancing is Forbidden (talk) 03:16, 7 March 2010 (UTC)
- But the article says the current name is the common name. Vegaswikian (talk) 07:20, 11 March 2010 (UTC)
- Honestly I would have to dispute that claim because I haven't heard it called Rahway in quite sometime, everyone I've talk to does refer to it as East Jersey. Dancing is Forbidden (talk) 18:52, 11 March 2010 (UTC)

Riots and Escapes: Sentence structure and reasoning
[edit]2nd paragraph: "On August 11, 1972, three convicted murderers escaped by sawing the bars of a third floor window. Later three officers were suspended for being responsible. In August 1980, in an effort to reduce the numbers of escapes, prisoners were issued gray prison uniforms."
- The structure of the second sentence makes it ambiguous and hard to understand.
- The third sentence, "In August 1980, ...", implies gray uniforms make it harder for prisoners to escape but does not explain why.
Contradiction between infobox and lead section
[edit]The infobox says the prison is mixed-security and was founded in 1901, while the lead says it's maximum security and opened in 1896. The historical information is sourced to a book to which I do not have access. Which is correct? Lockesdonkey (talk) 16:56, 28 October 2019 (UTC)
