O'Neill was on the Steelers roster during the 1969 training camp, but was cut before ever playing in a regular season game. --Great Scott 17:03, 19 July 2005 (UTC)

Dead
Is he dead? Granted, I seen this information of 4chan, but is it true? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.191.204.201 (talk) 00:48, 15 June 2008 (UTC) god rest his soul, yes, he died today. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.111.195.71 (talk) 01:32, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
- Uh, guys? Every source I can check (including IMdb) says he's still alive. You, uh, might not want to rely on 4chan for breaking news. Dave (talk) 02:27, 20 August 2008 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:MWC 1.JPG
Image:MWC 1.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page. If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BetacommandBot (talk) 01:00, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
Strange attribution?
I saw this text in the TV credits section (emphasis added): Married... with Children (1987-1997), Al Bundy(Brave, courageous, and bold) What the heck is that supposed to mean? I'm removing the parenthetical text, so it simply indicates that he was Al Bundy in the entire 10-11 year run of the show. Dave (talk) 02:27, 20 August 2008 (UTC)

I was thinking of using this image, once it passes a copyright check. A slightly clearer, and less "Bundy" version of O'Neill. Pakopako (talk) 20:36, 6 October 2009 (UTC)
Early Life Question
Interested regarding this statement in the "Early Life" section for two reasons:
"O'Neill attended Ursuline High School and went on to study at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, where he was a member of Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity, and regularly met Matt Fry, of Fun Disc Jockeys for Beers and shots at many a local drinking establishments..."
First off, this Matt Fry addition seems to be a vanity addition, correct? And secondly, where is there any evidence of him being a member of Delta Sigma Phi? O'Neill is a fairly well-known actor, and he's not listed anywhere as one of their alumni. Google searches I did that mention anything about it all quote this wikipedia page...Riskbreaker2987 (talk) 02:08, 22 September 2010 (UTC)
8 Simple Rules
The character he played was not Al Bundy. According the episode guide his name was Matt. I tried changing this myself but a user named Seaphoto reverted it. http://www.tv.com/8-simple-rules/old-flame/episode/382022/summary.html lists the character's name as "Matt" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.134.85.96 (talk) 05:55, 27 November 2010 (UTC)
Early Reputed Appearance in Deliverance
I know as far back as 1996--and probably further back, but that's the oldest I have--Leonard Maltin's movie guide has claimed that O'Neill appears at the end of "Deliverance" (1972). This is simply not Ed O'Neill. http://s294.photobucket.com/albums/mm119/badger60/?action=view¤t=IMG_5738.jpg There are three deputies credited in the film. Macon McCalman is the deputy seen arguing with Ned Beatty the first time we see James Dickey as the Sheriff. The only time two deputies appear is in the scene where Jon Voight is being placed in the ambulance, where they are speaking to Ned Beatty. The shorter deputy on the left, probably "First Deputy" has his head down, so he can't clearly be seen. The taller deputy is a little clearer, but doesn't look like the deputy at the hospital. Also, if you have Blu-Ray, and zoom in on the deputy's name tag, it says "Crone." The "First Deputy" is played by Lewis Crone, and as the deputy at the hospital is somewhat short, comparable in height to Ned Beatty, I think that he is Lewis Crone. I found a death notice for a Lewis Crone in the Jacksonville FL area with vital dates (as I recall) of 1938-1988, who I think might be the same person.Stembark (talk) 05:03, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
