I placed the POV tag when creating the article because it is pasted from a US government website. Because this comes from a US govt source it may not be neutral, but I don't have the expertise to judge. 1. This article, though short, focuses heavily on the positive relationships that exist between the United States of America and El Salvador. While this may be true today, there is little information shared about the atrocities committed by the U.S. military on Salvadorans. To further balance this article, there should be content that details the complex El Salvador-United States relationship that includes US intervention within their civil war, and how US approval has changed over time, and why this is so. 2. There several resources used to compile this article that are biased in favor of the United States. For example, a Gallup poll is quoted in the first paragraph of the article. While a percentage may seem in itself without bias, Gallup is a poll-creating company based in the US, not a non-partisan government or non-government agency. The source list also includes two articles, one from the New York Times, where bias is evident even from its title, such as El Salvador: Policy of Deceit.
