Speedy Deletion

[edit]

Both artists on this split - Electric Wizard and Our Haunted Kingdom (who changed there name to Orange Goblin) are notable and have articles of their own. This is the debut release by both bands. Both bands also have separate pages for their albums and EPs, in the case of Electric Wizard, their entire catalog has pages. I thought it was a logical step to finish that discography and get Orange Goblin's discography one step closer. ollïegrïnd 12:19, 4 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Chrono

[edit]

I was under the impression that this was the debut release by both bands. The release date was recently changed to 1996 but I checked the record and the copyright on it is 1995. Can anyone confirm if this was released before or after Electric Wizard? BeastmasterGeneral 01:36, 12 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah there seems to be some confusion about this. I recently checked the discography on Rise Above Records official site, and it confirms that this was released after Electric Wizard. But there is no mention of dates. So I checked Encyclopaedia Metallum and Rockdetector, which both say 1996. I think we should keep all the dates on Wikipedia at 1996 unless we find hard proof otherwise. ...Superfopp (talk) 17:01, 12 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I think you are right about the chronology, this is RISE11 and the s/t LP is RISE9. For the release date, I own this record and the date printed on the record inner label is 1995. I don't know if this is hard proof or not. It is possible that the there was a delay in release and it was supposed to be released at the end of 1995 but didn't actually get released until early 1996. I don't know how we would figure that out at this point. BeastmasterGeneral 01:24, 13 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
