Untitled[edit]

This is a great summary. How can we expand on this article to include other technologies that are considered "electronic data capture?" In the pharma world, EDC can be considered the umbrella term for all things collecting electronic data in a clinical trial. An EDC system can collect Electronic Case Report Forms (eCRF's), and Electronic Patient Reported Outcomes (ePRO) via an Electronic Patient Diary (EPD) or an Interactive Voice Response/Web Response System (IVRS, IWRS). I will start these articles, and hopefully others will expand. Joedustin 18:07, 25 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I just discovered this great article, I am working on creating some basic articles on aspects of clinical data capturing basics (CRF, PRO, DCF, ...). I am also trying to increase the crosslinking between those articles, so people are capable to get an overview. In my opinion Wikipedia lacks a consistent overview of clinical trial topics in which an article such as EDC is properly embedded. Pvosta 08:32, 1 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Electronic Data Capture can also refer to credit card data capture at the point of sale: [[1]] -Talyian
