Claim

[edit]

Re the claim that this is the oldest continuously inhabited street - this seems like one of those claims that is almost impossible to prove; one of the oldest might be better.Cinnamon colbert 12:03, 3 July 2007 (UTC) In any event, to make such a claim without citation is nonwiki[reply]

Well in Philly it's commonly referred to as the oldest street in America, but if you look at the website for it (http://www.elfrethsalley.org) it only describes it as "one of the oldest". There is a page for a street in New Paltz, NY which also claims to describe the oldest street in the U.S.; it's called the Huguenot Street Historic District but the page doesn't seem to be documented any better than this one. Building address map?

[edit]

Have searched online, but unable to find a map of the individual building numbers. Would like to update crowdsourced OpenStreetMap. Surprised the EAA/EAM doesn't have one. If you find one, please link from article.Doug Grinbergs (talk) 00:30, 26 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
