Wondering how to edit this U.S. County Entry?
The WikiProject U.S. Counties standards might help.

I removed this statement "A regional center of entrepreneurship and innovation, Elkhart County is rapidly becoming a technological center in a wide variety of industries which would include health & life sciences, information technology, logistics, and advanced manufacturing." I could not find a source for this but please feel free to re-add it with a source. I have also added a government section, incorporated small pieces from the individual city and town articles, and just generally cleaned it up. Acsmith3 (talk) 20:06, 24 July 2008 (UTC)

Grading

I have lowered the articles importance to Mid per the WP:WPIN assessment grading scale. I have also lowered the quality to B. To gain A status the article must be first reviewed by the project, or alternating at WP:GAN for GA status. If you would like to have this article reviewed for A status please start a discussion on the WP:WPIN talk page. Charles Edward 12:46, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

GA Review

This review is transcluded from Talk:Elkhart County, Indiana/GA1. The edit link for this section can be used to add comments to the review.

Hi. Unfortunately, this article does not yet meet Good Article standards for the following reasons:

  • Even though this is a county, the editors should still look at the recommendations provided by WP:USCITY, as counties and cities are very similar as to what the articles should contain. Obviously, not all the suggested topics will be relevant to each place, but it gives a good starting point.
  • All web sources should have at least a title, publisher, and access date. A great way to make references is to use the Auto Wiki Ref Generator, which does everything for you... just put in the information.
  • The entire demographics section needs to be sourced.
    • A word about what actually needs to be sourced. In essence, any hard facts (i.e. statistics, dates, numbers, etc.) and anything that is likely to challenged. See WP:CITE for more details.
  • Per WP:Embedded list, lists should be written out as prose. The linked page gives good examples.

Overall, this is a good start. I will go ahead and place the article on hold for a week to give the editors time to make any corrections before a final GA review. Best, epicAdam (talk) 16:20, 28 August 2008 (UTC)

This article could use more linkage. I linked some words, but I think that the Palm Sunday tornado has its own article, and there are other possibilies. I also think a couple of sentences need a reference. My 2 cents, Mr. Harman (talk) 02:55, 29 August 2008 (UTC)

Since no action has been taken on the article in a week, I will fail the article for now. Please renominate when ready. Best, epicAdam(talk) 21:17, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
