In France, Emergency Physicians are not physicians by training, they are instead anesthsiologists or generalists and internists who attempt to manage emrgencies. It has been proven in many studies that emergency physicians by training (such as those in the US, Netherlands, Canada, Britain, Australia, Singapore, and New Zealand) provide a significantly higher level of care as those physicians are actually trained in Emergency Medicine
