Emma Giles

My brother in laws's grand father piloted the Emma Giles and used to give turns at the wheel to him as a child. His name was "Snooky" George Washington Long (My brother in law). Almost always, the carving on the paddle wheel housing of these ships was one of an eagle. The carving on the Emma Giles was one of a bee hive...with some bees buzzing around. There exists, good pictures of that.

Thank you, James Gibbons bearsx2eleven@aol.com
