"Welkin" is the Germanic/English rooted (c.f. the latin etymology of this 'empyrean') term for the 'terminus / outer limits of heaven' or highest "cloud 9" etc. which I find to be of note if not in this article proper (a see also if the Welkin page were any more than a stub.)
