Feedback from New Page Review process

[edit]

I left the following feedback for the creator/future reviewers while reviewing this article: Nice work on the article; just wanted to mention that Sasel Kos 2002, Cabanes 2002, and Greenwalt 2011 do not point to a citation currently..

Fictitious dynasty

[edit]

There is no evidence for an "Enchelean-Taulantian dynasty". Ancient litterature does not mention it, if some modern scholars speculated on it's existence, it can be added with due weight into the articles Enchele and Taulantii with the relevant sources, but the subject does not warrant its own article. – Βατο (talk) 13:52, 28 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

There is no evidence of such a dynasty even in the context of Greek mythology geneology this is highly problematic.Alexikoua (talk) 19:42, 28 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! This is from Greek Wikipedia: ...

Greetings from Kosovo. --Drenisa (talk) 16:52, 11 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Drenisa, the Enchelei and Taulantii have always been attested as two separate tribes/peoples, and no ancient account attests the existence of an "Enchelean-Taulantian dynasty". The only attested "Enchelean" (legendary/mythical) ruler is Cadmus. While there are three attested "Taulantian" rulers: Galaurus, Pleuratus I and Glaukias, but they did not constitute an "Enchelean-Taulantian dynasty", only a "Taulantian dinasty", which is already included into Taulantii#Taulantian dynasty. As for other Illyrian rulers listed into this article, their tribal affiliation is not certain because it is not explicitly mentioned in ancient litterature. As already stated, the subject of this article is highly speculative and not supported by ancient and modern sources, it has no scope for a separate article. If some modern scholars' speculations exist about this dynasty, they can be added with due weight into the articles Enchele and Taulantii with the relevant WP:RS. – Βατο (talk) 11:17, 12 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
