GA Reassessment

I successfully nominated this article for Good Article on 14 November 2009. It was my first GA, and at the time it was an improvement over other Dog Breed GAs such as Japanese Spitz. However, this is no longer the case. If you compare the article to other breed GAs such as American Cocker Spaniel or King Charles Spaniel, you can see that the main issue is that it uses a series of references which just aren't reliable. I'll hold my hand up - I don't really have an interest in keeping up dog breed articles anymore - the number of IP users who come on and change the referenced material (especially things like life spans) has led to me becoming totally disillusioned with the subject. I may come back some day and fix this up, but it won't be today, and right now new editors are looking to articles like this to see what to develop other breed articles to - and frankly this and a few other breed articles which I worked on early in my Wikipedia editing career just aren't up to scratch anymore.
